Join Sharon for a week of creating and exploring in the South of France
in the charming little village of Durfort.
Sharon wants to show you an intimate glimpse of this magical area that tourists never get to see.
This area of France is unspoiled and rich in tradition.
You'll be staying at the maison, La Cascade, a charming 17th century stone home
that is located in an enchanting medieval artisan village of Durfort.
We will explore some of the treasures in this part of the country of France. Our week will include excursions such as a trip to the Saturday market, a vide genier (attic sale) or two, a private tour of a vintage fabric and fibers collector as well as a nearby French thrift store. Sharon has been spending a lot of time exploring and scouting the area and will share some of her fun found places with you.
Our fabulous hostess, Nèse, is an incredible chef and will cook our meals with fresh local ingredients
and will also be giving us a "French" cooking lesson.
Nèse is a talented chef and all foods will be prepared by her with the utmost quality.
Come to France to create, discover and explore
Sharon will be sharing techniques that will allow you to expand your creativity. We will be incorporating found papers, fabrics and items from our explorations and from Sharon's personal French studio (located in the village next to Durfort). Sharon has been running workshops for over 10 years and wants to share the magical, romantic, creative world that the South of France has to offer.
One very unique bonus of this retreat is that you will be provided with all of the tools and materials that you need to create your artwork. No need to worry about packing any tools or a supply list for your projects, unless of course you want to! There will be several opportunities to shop for your own unique French treasures to incorporate into your creations and/or to take back home with you for future projects.
Sharon's workshops include techniques to encourage and expand creativity and to discover your own unique sensibility.
Come join us while we wander, explore and create in this sweet little medieval village in the French countryside. Fall is the perfect time of year to experience the fabulous colors and weather in the South of France. You will return home with your precious creations to remind you of this magical time spent in the South of France 2023

This incredible, once (maybe twice) in a lifetime experience will include:
* Lodging in authentically decorated French chambre at La Cascade
(each bedroom has two twin beds and bathrooms are shared)
*All fresh and delicious meals and beverages are included

*Welcome aperitif at 5pm Tuesday, October 10th.
*Tuition for workshop and studio time with Sharon

Sharon will have a van to chauffeur us around to our outings.
