that tourists never get to see.
This area of France is unspoiled and rich in tradition.
You'll be staying at the maison, La Cascade, a charming 17th century stone home
that is located in the enchanting artisan village of Durfort.

Sharon wants to share
the magical, romantic, creative world that the
South of France has to offer.
Veronika Oliver is a south African artist working in textiles and Mixed Media.
Veronica and Sharon began a collaboration in 2021, sparking this project that embodies their shared creativity. They are looking forward to sharing a variety of their various techniques into one book all bound together with the world famous coptic Stitch.
One very unique bonus of this retreat is that you will be provided with all of the tools and materials that you need to create your artwork. No need to worry about packing any tools or a supply list for your projects, unless of course you want to! You are also welcome to incorporate any of your found treasures that you may find on this adventure.
Sharon's workshops include techniques to encourage and expand creativity and to discover your own unique sensibility.
We will be practicing various mixed media techniques From Sharon and from veronika, including some slow stitching. ❤️

This incredible, once (maybe twice) in a lifetime experience will include:
* Lodging in authentically decorated French chambre at La Cascade
(each shared bedroom has two twin beds and bathrooms are shared)
*Fresh and delicious meals and beverages are included
(7 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 6 Dinners, dinners family style and served with wine)
*Welcome aperitif at 5pm Wednesday, June 4th.
*Tuition for workshop and studio time with Sharon and Veronika.
(including use of tools, supplies and open studio time)
*Sharon will be your guide to local excursions, outings, wanderings and
meanderings around the french countryside.
*Sharon will have a van to chauffeur us around to our outings.
* Shuttle available once each way from and to the Toulouse airport is INCLUDED. The beauty of this is that all you have to do is get to the Toulouse airport and you will be taken care of from there.

Come to France to create, discover and explore
Come join this experience to wander, explore and create in this sweet little medieval village in the French countryside. The excursions will also include the Saturday Market that has been happening since the 14th century, a flea market or two, maybe a hidden French thrift shop, and possibly castle ruins or a medieval cathedral.
Summer is the perfect time to enjoy the vibrant colors and lovely weather of the South of France. We may even be able to find a sunflower field in bloom. You'll return home with cherished creations that will remind you of your magical 2025 experience in the South of France!
